I guess It depends in what you call to be alive...
Not a single message about the issue, matches being played randomly.. still not a post from the admin or someone sent by him... this it not good at all.

Totally disagree.

Managers who pay insane wages for free agents must have some sort of penalty for their decisions - old player with crazy high wage seems reasonable consequence of their actions. Wage limits are probably the last barrier for cheaters.

The only thing we need is players with 1 year left of their contacts to be released at the end of the season. Nothing more, nothing less.

By trying to make "new rules" we are going to make this game even more messy than it is now.
Having more than one team, by any reason - premium, retirement, youth training, etc., just ruins the fair competition and is shit!

And we urgently need CHEATER CONTROL!

But I let their contract run, and what hapenned? GKO renew them. I cant fire them now. Normal salaries, but high, more than 30k each. Now I cant buy any player because I get my top in salaries due to this. Few seasons ago, I lost 2 LA10 because I forgot renew them, and this seasons I dont want to renew, them renew them automatically ... grrrrrr. 

This is not fair. I agree with Bryan.

I'm from a small country with only 5 "The Best" academy and we don't usually get high LA payers even when we waste millions every season in extra players. I don't think that is how it works unless using tokens actually does have a better chance that isn't stated anywhere.

How to continue rewarding people that doesn't do right and to punish people that does. How to mess it up one time and another.

Now you have to pay extra mantainment for players that you don't want plus you have to pay a lot of extra money for contracts that should remain untouch for a few more seasons just because someone decided to change how the game works without telling a word.
That's how you mess it up...

You can do it better. I know..

I don't think it's fixed. I sometimes a need to refresh a page 5 times before I get it: 4 times "Cannot connect db", 5th time it's shown. Its very annoying.

It's so annoying when trying the set up my tactics, it's giving me errores all the time or even analyzing other teams, games, etc. Grrr. Even when i am working on my training  updates. Error's everywhere

I have a The Best Academy and i promoted only LA7 and LA6 players this season. In the last three seasons i spent a lot of money on extra players and the best that i got were two LA8 players. From the academy base youngsters i got only LA7 players with PR4 as maximum. This season Count 4 extra players for 300.000g so... i don't have a clue on how this system is working at the moment.

On the tips section you'll find some unofficial relevant but totally outdated information like:

4. What affect does Academy quality have on players available for promotion from the Academy?

The better your academy, the greater chance to get great players.
The starting attributes of the players from a higher level academy might have no significant difference
compare to ones from a lower level academy but their potential and progress rate are usually much better.

Please note that when a player reaches his potential, their will be no or little improvement.

Additionally, Academy level affects CA, LA and PR of promoted players

An estimation of the probability of promoting a LA9+ player was calculated based on statistics posted by admin on 31 October 2011.

Based on data given by admin here, I calculated estimated probabilities of getting an LA9 player. The available data yielded a regression curve that estimated this probability per player given academy level P(a) with the equation:

P(a) = 4 x 10^-6a^6.2841

where a is the academy level (1=very bad,...,6=the best)

This function fit the data well; R²=0.98467
Using this, the following probabilities were calculated; per player, out of 7 players (old system) and out of 8 players (new system):

To preface: I'm not sure how the acquisition of additional players figures into this, since additional players from academy with the old system appeared to be all lower quality (never LA7+) players...plus there is the possibility that these odds were changed somewhat with the new system, but without any data provided by admin, it is impossible to know...so, these are rough estimates, but they are probably pretty close to the actual ones used in the game engine.

[This still means there is a] 14.525% chance that a "very good" academy will produce zero LA9+ players out of 8....

There was also a post that stated that the #1 of the National Ranking if winning the league would get for sure an LA7 player but i can't find it on the forums. In any case all of this information is totally outdated if not obsolete.

Every team and every league are "a different world", i am really sorry if my comment offended somebody, i tried to be as polite as possible but it clearly is a complicated issue.

My main rival in Argentina Top Level (and also, the best friend that this game gave me) lost 5 players, 2 of them are NT players and he forgot the renewals. Many teams in my country lost many players, some teams here also have 2 or 3 players in their squad too and i wouldn't be surprised if the leave the game.

What happened today is a big mix of bad things:

* Admin have the game too abandoned for too long time, and his unability to fix really old issued placed us into this spot. A season ago, some of us said that "removing the UNH status was for a reason: avoiding UNH loaned players". Now we have a bigger problem.
* Some managers knew that their players's contract were 1 season left, but they decided to leave their contract at that point during the whole season and then forgot to renew (my friend's situation).
* Some managers knew about contracts, but forgot to renew them because they didn't see any UNH player? Really sorry, but as i said before, admin has a part of the blame, but not all of it.
* Some managers didn't knew about contracts? When a new manager start, all hisbplayers have a 3 season contract, so they had 3 seasons (more than a year) to find out about bit.

And the saddest part of it is that many people will leave the game (i wouldn't blame them, i woudln't start over in a dying game) and those who remain will have to deal with people who doesn't have any control on their finances (does somebody think about the posibility to grab a decent free player at a decent wage? Because i don't).

But in the end, we will all lose... "More people, more fun", that used to be GKO's motto, now it sounds like anbold dream...

EDIT: I forgot to say: in a different time, a warning between users in chat feed might happen, the lack of interaction among users is another proof of what's happening.

Lo he notado, sino en mi último partido de WCL nunca podría haber sacado solo 3 flechitas azules cuando mis valores tácticos eran casi los mismos que los de él. Claro, yo 3 flechitas azules y él 8. Sin contar la experiencia eso era 7 a 8 o empate en 8.

La cuestión es que la Experiencia sube bien cuando el jugador todavía no alcanzó el máximo de potencial, sin embargo cuando lo alcanza, al menos a mi me dio la impresión de que les cuesta una eternidad.

I manage Argentina NT now, if somebody would come with a message like that, i would definetly not accept his conditions. I would be willing to discuss the situation if the approach would be different... let's say

My player's PR is dropping and he still isn't maxed, it would be better for both club and NT if the player plays as many matches as possible this season, would you give him more matches?

Every country is "a different world", but personally, i wouldn't count with his players after receiving a message like that, i wouldn't know what to expect later after all.

even if its the best player of GKO.....

Personal opinion: the most expensive doesn't mean the best of GKO.

And i don't think that China would miss him that much, you can create 2 or 3 squads ready to play a World Cup aiming to the top.

I manage Uruguay NT since a few seasons and i totally agree with Kr10s. I don't have that big NT team and i did reject some threats for players that would be important for us. Terms and conditions must be reasonable. I think that you could not accept impositions from anyone.
