Hibury has always been huge on youth talent and we still follow that trend, but this has given the management here a very good look at the importance of experience. From early in the teams career, we sacrificed many experienced players in search of youth talent and were reasonably successful. During this period, we did notice what you have been realizing about experienced players.
Often you will find players with high experience and seemingly no skill ability at all. These players still seem to play at an exceptionally high level. For example, my experienced striker has terrible stats when compared to the youth talent I have been developing at the club, but he still plays at a higher level than the young boys according to the skill analysis. This is often proven when he scores important goals where the other more talented youth strikers can't seem to advance the score line.
Experience is a major factor. You will notice that there is improvement in the analysis of players as well as an improvement in their game production as their experience grows. It isn't the only factor in how a player preforms, but it is a factor in the game that simulates the maturing of a player and one that should be taken into account when trying to build a winning team.
