1. What penalty is there for playing a player out of his natural position?

"Positions" indicates the proficiency of a player in each playing position.
- "Green" indicates high proficiency
- "Yellow" indicates moderate proficiency
- "Red" indicates no proficiency

No colour -> affect performance around 10%
Red (Awkward) -> affect performance around  7-8%
Yellow (Unconvincing) -> affect performance around  4-5%
Dark Green (Accomplished) -> affect performance around 2-4%
Green (Natural) -> No effect on performance

2. At what level does condition negatively affect player performance and how do I recover player condition (if less than 100%)?

Efficiency decreases as condition decreases. But a player won't have this penalty if his condition is over 92%. (From game manual)

There're only 2 ways to recover condition:

* Do not use your player, let him rest (he'll recover 3% each day if training workload is set to medium or easy, 1% if set to hard).
* Do recovery activities, enter in your player's profile, go to the "Activity" tab, the first option is recover condition, you can get 2% paying 1 credit or 80 energy points.

4. What affect does Academy quality have on players available for promotion from the Academy?

The better your academy, the greater chance to get great players.
The starting attributes of the players from a higher level academy might have no significant difference
compare to ones from a lower level academy but their potential and progress rate are usually much better.

Please note that when a player reaches his potential, their will be no or little improvement.

Additionally, Academy level affects CA, LA and PR of promoted players

source: http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=404.0

An estimation of the probability of promoting a LA9+ player was calculated based on statistics posted by admin on 31 October 2011.
Based on data given by admin here, I calculated estimated probabilities of getting an LA9 player. The available data yielded a regression curve that estimated this probability per player given academy level P(a) with the equation:

P(a) = 4 x 10-6a6.2841

where a is the academy level (1=very bad,...,6=the best)

This function fit the data well; R2=0.98467
Using this, the following probabilities were calculated; per player, out of 7 players (old system) and out of 8 players (new system):

Academy LevelProbLA9/playerProb 1+ LA9/7 playersProb 1+ LA9/8 players
very bad0.001%0.004%0.005%
bad0.026%0.181%0.206%
okay0.398%2.756%3.143%
good1.465%9.816%11.138%
very good21.429%81.514%85.475%
the best31.048%92.590%94.891%

To preface: I'm not sure how the acquisition of additional players figures into this, since additional players from academy with the old system appeared to be all lower quality (never LA7+) players...plus there is the possibility that these odds were changed somewhat with the new system, but without any data provided by admin, it is impossible to know...so, these are rough estimates, but they are probably pretty close to the actual ones used in the game engine.

[This still means there is a] 14.525% chance that a "very good" academy will produce zero LA9+ players out of 8....

5. How do I effectively train my (youth) players?
-Choose a coach with a high value in "working with youngsters".
-Improve training ground and fitness center quality.
-Think about setting the youth training workload to heavy or very heavy if he is not expected to get much match time and can be expected to avoid training injury (based on "prone to injury" rating)
-Place youth players on youth team during league matches. 8 youth players in the youth squads are selected randomly to earn a training bonus from each league match.
source: http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=1521.msg16776#msg16776

Also note that:
The progress rate of the player + (progress rate of the player x (The level of the training facility/6)) + (progress rate of the player x (The skill of the coach/20))

- Players under the age of 18 have the following bonus
=> (50+ Working with Youngsters)%
e.g. If a coach with working with Youngster skill of 10 trains a player of age 16, that player will get a bonus of 60%

- Players under the age of 22 have the following bonus
=> (20+ Working with Youngsters)%

- Players over the age of 27 have -50% training penalty.
source: game manual

Some other things to think about:
With a Good level training facility and a coach 10 (in training skill) and 10(in working with youngsters):

A player PR2 grows about 0.09 if he's 15, 16 or 17 years old.
A player PR2 grows about 0.08 if he's 18 to 23 years old.
Every PR2 player grows 0.16 in selected training skill in every league match (if that skill is lower than 15, or 13 in GK).

A player PR3 grows about 0.12 if he's 15, 16 or 17 years old.
A player PR3 grows about 0.10 if he's 18 to 23 years old.
Every PR3 player grows 0.24 in selected training skill in every league match (if that skill is lower than 15, or 13 in GK).

A player PR4 grows about 0.13 if he's 15, 16 or 17 years old.
A player PR4 grows about 0.11 if he's 18 to 23 years old.
Every PR4 player grows 0.32 in selected training skill in every league match (if that skill is lower than 15, or 13 in GK).

How long time would need a PR2 player to reach a PR4 player? I'm not talking about reaching hs potential, only reach a PR4 CA, in three words: "too much time"......  so many time that you'll get far better prostects even next season.
...
Remember, match bonuses give you the chance to get about a player's training improvement the whole week, just playing 2 matches, if PR is low, match bonus is low
...3 more things...

* When a player's CA reaches 4, his market value increases faster than when he's CA2 or CA3, so 100.000G in a whole season isn't that much, my PR5 player has increased his marked value around 100.000G in 15 days, he's about to reach CA4.
* When a player reaches age 22, his PR decreases [rapidly - see below]
* When a player reaches CA7, he doesn't improve from training anymore, it doesn't matter if he's LA15, he only increases playing league matches.

PR of a player starts to decrease when his age increases from 21 to 22

And the PR of a player decreases as follows...
8-->4
7-->4
6-->3
5-->3
4-->2
3-->2
2-->1
1-->1

Additionally:
...the speed of training (from daily training or matches) depends on the current skill level.

- skill level < 15 => Normal rate
- skill level (15-17.99) => 1.5  times slower
- skill level > 18 => 2 times slower

For goalkeeper,
- skill level < 13 => Normal rate
- skill level (13-16.99) => 1.5 times slower
- skill level > 17 => 3 times slower

** In sum, training is slower as the skill level is closer to 20.

- Is training bonus from matches equal in every type of competitions ?

No, a player receives different training bonus from different competitions.
(In the case 'Current Ability' < 'Limited Ability')

-League,WCL => 8 times the number of progress rate star.
-Cup => 6 times the number of progress rate star.
-Friendly match => 4 times the number of progress rate star.
-Nation team => 10 times the number of progress rate star.
-Nation u21 team => 8 times the number of progress rate star.

A player receives training bonus from a match if he plays in that match for at least 30 minutes.

** A player who has current ability > Limited ability receives [only] small amount of training bonus.

7. How does ENV factors (experience, morale, etc.) affect player performance?

What determines players current ability level? EV, overall skils, specific skills or others? And, what determines players level in team report from premium section?

An attribute call "env" which controls every players' performance in a match. (maximum is 100%)
A player will not perform exactly 100% as his attributes shown in his player's profile.
There are factors affecting his performance as follows...

1. Experience - The higher experience, the better chance he plays well regularly.
2. Morale
3. Proficiency of him in the chosen playing position.
4. Condition - Won't have penalty if his condition is over 92%.
5. Adaptation to the team.

You can't just evaluate a player's ability (Current ability level) by the number of stars in the scout report
since it is calculated from the overall ability ignoring his playing position.

The system evaluates the net ability of a player in his playing position and multiply by env -> Player level (Fitness condition is not calculated.)

8. What attributes are important for a particular position?

This question does not have a clear cut answer, since this depends partially on your team's tactical preferences. In other words, The skills that are important for zone marking are different from man marking, those for "press more" are different from "stand off", and those for more roaming different from stick to position. Similarly, different skills are needed for passing than for running with the ball, for different types of crossing, not to mention those of the player receiving these crosses. Of course, a highly specialized team would be less desirable than one which is well-rounded, since a well-rounded team offers greater flexibility in tactical approaches, but a specialized team can enable greater performance for a given set of tactics than might be possible for the full range of tactical options. Finally, Goalkeepers require an entirely different skill set from field players.

All of the skills required for each of these can be found here:
http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=1006.0

Also, Jackpot's training program v2.2 provides the analytical means to identify and calculate player skills based on different tactical approaches:

Club museum increase your team rating every match ; except friendly,extra cup match and if your team rating is over limit .

Admin's statements!!!

- Does my club rating has its limit ?

Yes, the maximum value for club rating is 10,000.  However, club rating for a division has its limit.
Suppose your club rating is higher than the limited club rating for your division.
In the case that you win, your club rating increases slowly but in the case the you lost you club decrease steeply.
Therefore, you'd try to get promoted to a higher division to earn higher rating.

-What does museum help ?

Museum helps your club rating to increase faster. But it will not help you much if your club rating reaches the limited club rating
of your division. It is advisable for newbie to upgrade club museum in order to help you get to the limited club rating
of your division faster.

The  limit of club rating for each division

Top  7000
B  5500
C 4500
D  3300
E  2500
F  1700
G and below  1400

Even though your club rating reaches the limited club rating for your division, this value still increases (if you win)
but at a slower rate than normal. But if you loose your club rating will be decreased.
Therefore, it is possible that your club rating reaches 10,000.

Your club rating will not decrease if your club rating <  the limited club rating for your division.

Where we can see what team have the biggest rating ?

Check this out.

http://www.gokickoff.com/ranking_club.php

So higher division gain more rating points each match also, right?

Yes, but not much.

How does increase the among of rating of the clubs? and the points how a club won points and in what amount? I mean you win points only for winning games or what else?

It's depend on your opponent. You earn points for every games except
when your club rating is higher than the limited club rating for your division.
In the case that you win, your club rating increases slowly but in the case the you lost you club decrease steeply.

11. "Shorter" or : More Direct" passing style which one is better ?

Many people wonder which passing style is the best. Some people think that it is
best to use short passing strategy while others have the opposite view.

Well, choosing passing style appropriately depends on your team and your opponent as follows.

Shorter : User ought to select this strategy, if he thinks that his midfielders are better than the opponent's midfielders .

More direct: User should select this strategy, if he thinks that opponent's midfielders are better than his midfielders.

More direct has a drawback since it is more likely that your ball possession will be lost.
User should also use this strategy if and only if he trusts his fowarders and defenders and
thinks that his midfielders ain't good enough.

12. How to improve player rapidly?

If you want to enhance a player's attributes quickly, you need to use him frequently.
This is because at the end of each match, a skill of a player of rating 6 or above increases.
The attribute that increase depends on the selected training course.
Please note that Leagues and cups give twice as much bonus as of friendly.
Also, the amount of this improvement depends on his progress rate (coaches and facilities do not affect).
Anyway, this increase is more than daily training.

Player Room and Player Wage Budget
« Reply #13 on: September 04, 2013, 09:20:17 AM »
Improving Player Room will improve my Players Wages Budget. But in what form I am receiving my wage budget. My weekly clubs news says I have received money from sponsors and facilities. Does the sponsors money means wage budget? or it is something else. In short, what benefit I will have after improving my players room.

You will not get money for improving the player room.  You will be able to have a larger team budget and be allowed to purchase more players at higher wages. It's really not a financial improvement.

Efficiency decreases as condition decreases. But a player won't have this penalty if his condition is over 92%. (From game manual)

Might be a strange question, but I'm wondering. If they say over 92%. Do they mean it needs to be at least 92% or does it need to be at least 93%? Because to me over means more than. More than 92 is 93 for example.

Condition must be 93% as minimum, else, your player will  be penalized.

Thx for clarifying this. Means I misread this the first time. I played few times with players only having 92%
