You should be happy . It was too high offer and too high wage for this average older player. Look he earns 7,5 k week by week. It is about 150 k for one season. In three seasons he is going to earn 450 k , an he wil be worth nothing because of his age (31y).
So go to TL and buy younger player for about 0,5 mln G and don't pay so high wage- it isn't god idea at all. And after 3 years you be able to regain some money from selling
