I think Top Level league prize should be worth more than National Cup for 3 reasons:-The sheer number of matches involved in league is more than twice that involved with the cup, even in Thailand...in my country it is more than 4 times!
-It would make the cup more competitive. Top clubs would play their weaker players for most cup rounds making it more likely that more lower teams will progress to late rounds. Why on earth should a top level club in a tight race for the league champion be holding their MotS for the cup since its the biggest prize at stake in a season?
-For many nations, cup winner (or runner up if winner is same as top level league champ) wins WCL qualification spot, worth a lot in terms of both G and player experience...an additional prize that should be considered in this equation
What I would suggest is this:1) Double league prizes across the board. This means every level, every spot. Top Level champion receives 2M and so on
2) Make Cup prize worth 100,000G X (number of cup rounds). Thus Thailand cup winner would get 1.4M while USA winner gets 700,000
The average cup prize, worldwide, would probably be 700,000 G at most, making average cup plus top level league prize in a nation worth no more than 2.7M, only 8% more than existing structure...what do ya think?
