Tegen Burkina Faso ook weer een groot overwicht en toch maar een nipte 2-1 overwinning. Maar goed, weer drie puntjes er bij.
De grote verrassing van deze ronde is Vietnam-Russia: 0-3 maar liefst!

Daardoor is de stand nu als volgt:

An important victory over Vietnam: 1-0.

Just like the away match (we lost 2-0) the game was quite balanced but we keep the 3 point in our country. The tactical surprises paid off in our advantage, such as exploiting the weak Vietnam DL.

Now beating Russia next week and we are where we want to be.

Right before the crucial match against Russia we have a lot of problems.
First of all our topdefender Antuma is banned and so is our great striker Stef van Daele.
Then also AMC Bob van Baerle is injured, so we miss 3 important players.

We will have a good look at our tactics, seems like a draw will be welcomed....

Dankzij een terechte 2-0 overwinning op Gambia (mooi land...) heeft Nederland zich als nummer 1 van de (toch wel pittige) poule geplaatst voor Vietnam. Nummer 3 Rusland heeft pech en is uitgeschakeld.

Op naar het hoofdtoernooi!

I did update talented players list http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=19426.msg132350#msg132350 which are our best option to keep position of U21 and first national Team. So far our National Teams are playing very good...Last qualifications we did play against many top teams like Thailand, Bosnia and Herzegovina Australia, Norway, Chile... also during world cup we did were almost in same level like China, Argentina, England, Spin Croatia, those teams are really top !
Also our U21 team is in right direction what we saw especially in last world cup were we did play in same level like top tems from Poland, Bulgaria and Norway !
Unfortunately we don't have many talented players like big community's from other country's what we can see this season in U21 qualification group when we compare our team with opponents. Thanks to our very good job in national team's friendly games where we train what we can, distance is not huge and we can keep our "black horse" position

1-1 vs Italy, the strongest opponent, is a great result.
Next is Hong Kong, we should be able to win it.

We almost made it to the last 4...!!

The two teams contested a penalty shoot-out. Belgium wins the shoot-out (5 - 3)

We can be very proud of Dutch U21 team, we performed outstanding.

Iedereen die op mij gestemd heeft; bedankt!!
Afgelopen seizoen waren we zonder overdrijven de verrassing van het jaar door bijna, bijna de laatste 4 te halen. België versloeg ons op pingels.
Voor het komend seizoen hoop ik ons als outsider weer neer te zetten en voor wat verrassingen te zorgen.
