Admin. said saturday the server will be close for season update. It will be online again on sunday.

I think that system will go down at 00 UTC. Hope that won't take more than 5-6 hours to reset and set the new season.

You know it's messed up that you come second in a top level league with 9 active managers and you receive only 225000 G ........and 450000 G for winning the cup. ....... I'll never get a better academy .... smdfh. ....probably stop playing altogether. .. Ain't fun no more ...

No! Dont quit Swagga! The Bermuda league is one of the most fun leagues with so many of you genuinely active. I get your issue with playing in a small league but you also have advantages - you didnt have to play your way up fom the E league and you got good minimum crowds from an early stage. I have just built a best acadamy but it took me 9 seasons!! I didnt really fund it with prize money but with weekly revenue and sale of players.

My tip to you is that you have way too many players (40+) you only need 30 as an absolute max - get selling, generate a little money and reduce your wage bill at the same time!

Last reason to be optimistic: Bermuda are now just one point and two places away from getting a second place in the WCC - you cant quit now!!!!

Best academy isn't always a good thing. I've pulled 4 players this season, none better than LA 7. Stupid academy is costing me somewhere around 1mill a year not to mention the millions it took to build. But I have to admitt, it is kinda exiting

4 players from my "the best" academy and none better than LA6... I have the feeling that academies are worsening every year!

Drahir / Rincewind - I am sure you are right. There are 385 Best Academies now and Ruta has long had a theory that there are only so many top level players released each season so they dont go around like they used to. However, I beleive you have got to have one if you want to stand a chance of competing with the big boys! Spare a thought for me, I've been playing for 9 seasons (3 with a VG academy, 2 with G etc) and I've never manged to get better than a LA8 and in fact I only had 1 LA8 with PR>2 until last season when I got lucky and got a 8/3 and a 8/4. So far with my best academy I have promoted 1 and got a 8/3 so I am content already but will be happier with a LA9 later on and even dream of a 10 or 11!

In the meantime its Free Player feeding frenzy! Good luck everyone and bon apetit!

hehe - the top two teams in Bermuda (past 2 seasons) have 86 players between them

It must be frustrating to finish 2nd in consecutive seasons, but third time lucky, right?

Perhaps this is his season... maybe. Hibury will be going through some restructuring this season. The last time we made moves like this the club finished an uncharacteristic fifth in the league. I don't suspect it will be that easy to win the league this season especially since last season top four were only separated by a few points, but with Hibury restructuring again, it should be the best chance in many seasons of seeing a new champion crowned in Bermuda. With the Hibury club also looking forward to the league cup this season, it is the prime time for another club to take league honors.

Well I am going to sit on the fence, I can see both points of view. I definitely can see the Frustration of playing in a small league. When that league is competitve like Bermuda then the low prize money can seem unfair. On the other hand my first 4 titles won me 200k, 250k, 350k, 550k. Thats less per title than Hiburys 5 titles and Swaggas 1 title.

If I could choose I would give a competitive league like Bermuda more money but would object to giving more to the many small leagues with just 1 super team.

One thing I dont get is why Bermuda doesnt get an extra tier, they have enough teams and presumeably another tier would mean a bit more prize money?
