The players from the camps are:
1: old. They're 17 years old the first round with only half season before they turn 18 and almost 18 at the second round so the work with youngster bonus is of a very little help for these players.
2: weak. They're just CA 1-2.
3: not so fast in growing. PR 4 is a medium value and isn't so fast at all.
4: always late. You don't know exactly when you'll have them.
5: a roulette. You can't see and refuse. You have that ones and nobody else.
The player from the accademy are:
1: young. You can have them even 15 years old.
2: stronger. You can have them even with CA 4-5.
3: faster growing. You can found a lot of players with PR >4
4: never late. You have them in the very first day of the season.
5: isn't a complete roulette. You can choose 7 player from the 8 you receive but you can discard them and invest resources (G or tokens) for having others if you can like them. 3 every weeks until you're satisfied.
Why should I invest in camps? If you think camps are a waste of money then you can invest in accademy.
Well, about youth camp players...
1 - You're right
2 - All of them were CA1 so far.
3 - PR4 is a standard these days, PR3 players appears a lot often than before.
4 - This is GKO...
5 - Fully agreed
And about academy youth... well it depends on each manager's experience. This season i decided to avoid investment in camps and get some extra youth before picking the last 2, in other words i had 12 options to pick. Luck determinates lots of things...
My 12 academy youth this season were:
So, based on my experience, things are a bit different:
1 - Only 3 players (25% of total) were younger than youth camp players, 2 of them were aged 17 (16,66%) and 7 players were older (58.34%). So i wouldn't say they are younger.
2 - Fully agreed. I haven't promoted CA5 players but still, they are stronger than CA1 players for sure. And i can't afford to raise CA1 players in top level, a CA3 player can have some minutes against weaker teams, a CA1 player can't.
3 - Dissagree again. My academy youth have similar rates than camp youth. Even more: if i would be really lucky, i would receive only 1 PR6 (8,33%) and remaining youth would be same than camp youth (91,67%), but if i would be really unlucky, i could have also received 7 PR3 players (i pulled 3 PR3 players and all my unpulled youth can also be PR3). So at least to me, youth camp players have an average/high progress rate.
4 - Yes, you can. But you must play a huge roulette or invest lots of money in token. If you want to get great results without buying token, you must spend lots of money in extra youth and wait lots of weeks to get reports before start pulling.
5 - Fully agreed, and that (combined with low CA) is what makes youth camps unnatractive to me. I would buy a camp youth to leave training in reserves a season until his CA becomes higher, the difference is that in market i can pick position and injury prone rating (wich is also important). While youth camp players gives me uncertain things that are really important (position and injury prone rating) and low CA level, it's a combo i don't want at all.
