I disagree. Every player should have their own, unique, mental disposition imo. This "mental disposition", or ratio of influence (INF), determination (DET), and aggression (AGG) is the only thing that makes GKO players truly unique. I mean, if we could train mental skill individually, every LAX player would be virtually identical with another. Having these mental skills fixed relative to one another really differentiates these players, so I don't think we should be able to train individual mental skills, at least not the same way other skills are trained individually.
Currently, with Mental training, there are even odds the training will be AGG, DET, or INF, or about 33% chance it will be any one in particular. In other words, you need to invest 3 skill levels worth of training for every 1 you want to raise, approximately.
Instead, what if specific mental training just increased these odds a bit for the selected skill? Maybe instead of 33% the odds would be 50% for that skill and 25% for each of the other two. So you would have to invest 2 skill levels worth of training to raise the specified skill 1 point. and the other mental skills would also be increasing about half as quickly. I might go for something like that.
Additionally, it might be useful to have a specific aggression "un-training" program (i.e. aggression management) that would lower aggression or, like the above example, at least give a good chance of doing so...for the Joey Bartons of GKO.
