"Academy allows you to manage your club academy. This page comprises the following sections; academy info, academy quality management, and youth players management.

In the youth management section, you may seek at most 3 youths per week to join your academy by G or tokens. Report of each youth will be shown below (you will have to wait for the report). You may fire an unwanted youth from your academy or promote a youth to your team. Please keep in mind that you may promote at most 7 players from your academy to your team and when a youth is 17 he will leave the academy automatically in the next season. "

Remember that you can't have more than 10 players in the accademy.

Since you've got 8 new players in the accademy every season if you've got more than 2 players in it could be a problem.

If you've got 8 extra youth in academy (16 years old or younger), next season you will have 16 in total, but you won't be able to search new youth until that number reduces to less than 10: http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=7948.0

In other words, you can start next season with 18 players at most (having 10 players now, adding another 8 with the season update).
