Training single skill VS Training multiple skills
« on: November 19, 2010, 05:03:38 PM »
Hi gamers,

Today, our tip is about "Training single skill VS Training multiple skills". We'll talk about the pros and cons of each strategy.

Training a player only one skill hoping it to reach 20 will result in lack of points to increase other skills
before he reaches his maximum potential.  A player uses more points as the skill is closer to 20.

For example, player A have 5 points each for crossing and dribbing. If you choose to train only dribbing, he may
have 20 points for dribbing and 6 points for crossing when he reaches his maximum potential. On the contrary,
if you train both dribbing and crossing he may have 16 points for dribbing and 16 points for crossing when
he reaches his maximum potential.

A good point of training multiple skills is that players will be well-rounded while a good point of focusing
on certain skills is that you can improve players skills to suite your strategy.

 :)

Does training run for a given period, nd then expires? Or can we do it for a day and then change it to something else?

imho, this is what makes this game better than other competitors.

Many games you to train a single skill and all managers create "factories" of players, quite irrealistic...
The players come all out from factories like clones, with same skills. Here you must keep always an eye on every player, personalized training needs to be careful.

Gokickoff could actually become best Football Manager game, if you will fix some lacks later on...

@ blahblah

Actually it is updated at 0.00 Server Time each day. So you can change to something else after 0.00 Server Time.
Server Time is at the top left of the screen.

@Aureliano71
Thanks. We're developing.

actually no, same as here, in other managers there's more than 1 usefull skill. Only diference is that here you choose a bunch of skill to train and don't know witch is training. so either you train unknown skill or you train skill you need, but  way slower

Hello admin, I would ask when the player reaches the full potential if it stops winning attribute in practice, there is a young man who last season increased his potential, and now as he has already reached the maximum skill he just wins games . is it really just goes back to earn points next season when his potential go to 6?

Hi.
I wonder if a set limited ability is calculated from the total skillpoints or other? Example a player with 200 points in total is CA/LA 3, whilst a player with 400 is CA/LA 5? And is this only true if all skills are less or equal to 15 as points above this "costs" more as I understand it?

Reason I wonder is if I have a player whos got 10 in every skill as opposed to one who has 15 in half and 5 in half. Both have equal number of points, but will their ability be the same?

I think the value is not the same why when the player hits as many skills he gains more points.

;) I was so excited to see a topic in the forum that I wanted to read about when I realized that another spam bot was on the loose in the forums again. I remember when the last spam bot totally killed the traffic of the forum and it was days before anyone decided they wanted to discuss anything. I like the forum because a lot of information gets released there and I dislike being behind the ball when it comes to knowledge.
:D I'm still interested in hearing opinions on specific training as opposed to general training. Anyone with a perspective on this who would like to comment on their opinions, I would appreciate to hear your views on the subject.
