It would be very nice if we had a more realistic halftime, maybe around 20 minutes or so, during which we could edit our "advance instructions" in the middle of a live match. This would, in effect, double the number of instructions, so maybe we'd only get 3 or 4 (per half). Most importantly, it would enable "reactionary" tactical changes during matches, but it would also encourage people to actually follow their matches, too. I don't know how feasible it is, but I thought it would be a perfect feature for GKO!

I believe it is good for you or with other people.
But you have to think of many other players as well.
I never had a chance to sit in front of the competition.
It's not fair if someone will be able to get one.

In my humble opinion, this is not a good idea... We all have different constraints in real life and we are not all of us in front of the computer during the match. And you can already define advanced instructions in advance.

just need to add some new features in advance instructions like changing formation after getting red card ir when an opponent gets red card and etc., no need to force ppl sitting during matches

Look, my intention here is not to force everyone to watch their matches, but to give the option to make additional changes during halftime if one wanted it. Otherwise, you could still set your advance settings ahead of time like it is now. But at least the option would be there if you felt it was needed.

Anyway, aren't the match fully calculated BEFORE they are displayed ? In this case, you wouldnt be able to modify your tactic live...

my point is more an open question rather than a statement

But it's often calculated first and then displayed minute per minute in similar games.

In fact, i beieve you're right... you might see that every player receives his match bonus before you could see a match (reflected in his skills) even before the match starts, so i believe everything is calculated before a match.

I agree with gabrielis and Etienne, i can't follow wednesday matches until about minute 70 (when i get home from work), i'd be in dissadvantage against another active user...... i also believe we need more advanced instructions and more slots available. If possible, i believe we should be able to make more than 3 subs in a friendly match too.

More advance instructions are possible. But editing instructions in the middle of a live match isn't fair for those who have no time to watch their matches.

FYI... I think advanced instructions(AI) are BRILLIANT and an amazing part of this game, having more AI slots would be awesome!

Totally agree... real time adjustments would give a bigger advantage to those more active during match days, an advantage that is not needed (i am available for pretty much every match!!).

However more AI slots would cover this for everyone that would like to change their tactics during the match at the same time as giving EVERYONE the same advantage if they choose to use it and think a little in advance

... just my thoughts all be it a little late

This makes me wonder when the REAL deadline is for making that final fitness recovery; I mean if the match is calculated beforehand, it might mean that those last 2 points added to a player 30 minutes before the match starts don't actually count toward the player's abilities during the match!

I'd guess that the deadline is about 42 minutes prior to match start, when we get our "kickoff in less than 2 hours" message. I'd guess that is also the deadline for tactical changes, but it isn't very clear.

Edit: Actually, I now think it's 90 minutes beforehand that tactics no longer can be changed. It's a bummer, because I was at 79 energy, with one player starting at 98%. Now I don't think I should waste my energy, but there's no way to tell!!!!
