I mean, what is the need for using a hidden proxy except to CHEAT? This should be GKO policy, strictly enforced. With an elite hidden proxy I could break every single rule in GKO with impunity!!!!!!! Seriously. Only cheaters use this kind of (pricey) proxy.

GKO team has other method than IP address verification to find cheater. I think some players are not meant to use proxy to login but they are forced to use it in some network eg. work network, school/college network.

Hmmmmmm, that sounds nice, but how effective is it? There is a manager in my nation's top level who uses a hidden proxy exclusively (NEVER logs in using a internet cafe or other hotspot) and refuses to interact. Someone with a little savvy and a good proxy could really get away with "murder" here I believe.

We will have to get them case by case, not to conclude that all xxx.xxx ip should be banned imho.
And i'm not speaking for myself because i don't use proxy since i play at my home most of the time.

I am not talking about anonymous proxies (those that show up as xxx.xxx ip address) but Elite Proxies. The difference is that an anonymous proxy hides a person's ip address but it is apparent to everyone that it is a proxy (it shows up as xxx.xxx.xxx...)
Elite proxy servers not only hide the real IP, but they hide the fact of using proxy servers for connection. In other words, they behave in the way like you are not using proxy server at all as if the IP address one is providing is a 'real' IP address. These will look like regular ip address (e.g.153.765.234...) but the results from an ip search will be "this is a hidden proxy".

Anonymous proxies are sometimes used in businesses or schools to protect terms of service agreements or on WAP mobile networks, but only cheaters use elite proxies on a game site.

I started this poll 8 months ago because of a suspicious manager in my league who was using such an elite proxy to login to GKO, refused to reply to personal messages, as well as some other suspicious activities. Shortly after my last post (almost 7 months ago) = the manager appeared to quit the game for good, and I forgot about this issue. A few weeks ago - after 7 months of inactivity - the manager returned to GKO after farming millions of G and still using the elite proxy to login with. So I decided to bump this thread and added a poll to get the input of other managers on this issue.

To be clear, this topic is only about the use of elite hidden proxies. I''m not so concerned about those using anonymous proxies, though they should be treated with some suspicion as well (see the post above for the differences explained).

Did you try to use those proxies? I tried and its not working when you want to change training or look at player. Or maybe I can't find good proxy , I am not skilled at proxies

Good question...though with this kind of proxy one could get away with making illegal transfers from one subsidiary account to another since the IP addresses wouldn't match, but without other benefits of premium membership.

Also, it might be cheaper to pay for a proxy than for 2+ premium accounts....I found one proxy that costs ~ €50 per year ($5/month) for the first IP address plus €10 per year ($1/month) per additional IP address. Compare this with €80 for 2 premium accounts or €120 for 3 and so on...
