Effectiveness is denoted by up-arrow, down-arrow, or nothing.
Nothing means the selected tactics is so-so.
Down-arrow means the selected tactics is ineffective.
Up-arrow means the selected tactics is effective.
-> Number of up-arrows shows the effectiveness of the selected tactics. (The more, the better)
-> This have an affect on the number of hearts.
Number of hearts shows the quality of players in the field (except the keeper)
=> (Net ability of a player in his playing position x ENV) + the above effectiveness (up-arrows and down-arrows)
Higher number of hearts of your team than the opponent means that the overall capability of your team is better.
(This does not include formation and events)
***** In sum, the number of hearts is just part of your team performance. There are, however, other factors affecting your
team performance such as individual tactics, formation, etc.

1. If the number of hearts of your team is less than your opponent. Does it mean that your team will loose ?
Not always because there are other factors like formation and events that affect the game.
Even though, your team maintain less possession and has smaller number of hearts but if your events
are effective you can have more shooting opportunities.
2. Is the number of hearts related to the possession percentage ?
Yes, possession percentage increases as the difference in the number of hearts
between your team and your opponent increases. However, there are other factors such as team formation.
Attacking formations tend to let your team have more ball possession than defensive formations.
But a defensive formation decreases the shooting opportunities of your opponent.
3. How to increase the number of hearts ?
Try to make your tactics to be effective (3-4 up-arrows for each plan, for example).
Different players are used in different strategies. (please read the manual).
Using which strategy also depend on your opponent.
If your are not sure, it is advisable to set it as default.
