Effectiveness of the selected tactics
« on: June 20, 2011, 01:39:45 PM »
The picture below shows the effectiveness of the selected tactics...

Effectiveness is denoted by up-arrow, down-arrow, or nothing.

Nothing means the selected tactics is so-so.
Down-arrow means the selected tactics is ineffective.
Up-arrow means the selected tactics is effective.
-> Number of up-arrows shows the effectiveness of the selected tactics. (The more, the better)
-> This have an affect on the number of hearts.

Number of hearts shows the quality of players in the field (except the keeper)
=> (Net ability of a player in his playing position x ENV) + the above effectiveness (up-arrows and down-arrows)

Higher number of hearts of your team than the opponent means that the overall capability of your team is better.
(This does not include formation and events)

***** In sum, the number of hearts is just part of your team performance. There are, however, other factors affecting your
team performance such as individual tactics, formation, etc.

FAQ
1. If the number of hearts of your team is less than your opponent. Does it mean that your team will loose ?

Not always because there are other factors like formation and events that affect the game.
Even though, your team maintain less possession and has smaller number of hearts but if your events
are effective you can have more shooting opportunities.

2. Is the number of hearts related to the possession percentage ?

Yes, possession percentage increases as the difference in the number of hearts
between your team and your opponent increases. However, there are other factors such as team formation.
Attacking formations tend to let your team have more ball possession than defensive formations.
But a defensive formation decreases the shooting opportunities of your opponent.

3. How to increase the number of hearts ?

Try to make your tactics to be effective (3-4 up-arrows for each plan, for example).
Different players are used in different strategies. (please read the manual).
Using which strategy also depend on your opponent.
If your are not sure, it is advisable to set it as default.

Tactic is essential, but without right players you can't do anything. With an excellent tactic you can be strong, but with an excellent tactic and excellent players you are invincible

I think all Bots are set the same, so yes one tactic will probably get you to the top 3 in the League, quite easily.

Gokickoff Match engine version 2.0

Quote
We have added a new attribute call "env" which controls every players' performance in a match. (maximum is 100%)
A player will not perform exactly 100% as his attributes shown in his player's profile.
There are factors affecting his performance as follows...

1. Experience - The higher experience, the better chance he plays well regularly.
2. Morale
3. Proficiency of him in the chosen playing position.
4. Condition - Won't have penalty if his condition is over 92%.
5. Adaptation to the team.

You can't just evaluate a player's ability by the number of stars in the scout report
since it is calculated from the overall ability ignoring his playing position.

The system evaluates the net ability of a player in his playing position and multiply by env.
**  From now on, when we talk about the ability of a player we refer to this ability.

These factors have the same effect in international matches? For example, morale. Players from bad teams not nominated???

Hello guys, I have a question to ask yourself, hearts initial ones that give the total value of the team (Average Ability of players) that changes depending on the opponent, or meetings, is always the same, namely, I noticed that you do not go well three hearts, three hearts diminish if they face a team of peers? address or any team I'll always have three hearts but stronger?

Average Ability of players (AAoP) = Player Ability x ENV

Average performance of players  = AAoP + Efficiency tactics

Average Ability of players changes as  players' ability increase or players' ENV increase. It doesn't depend on the opponent.

But effectiveness of the selected tactics depends on the opponent.

In my 2 last matches, my AAoP, was higher than my opponent and my APoP too.

You say:

- Use standing philosophy if you are sure that your team is better than your opponent.
- Use dynamic philosophy if you certain that you will have a hard time defeating your opponent.

I used standing philosophy (I was better than my opponent, in hearts and opportunities), but I don't have an up arrow. How is it possible?

More, in my last friendly match, I used dynamic philosophy (I was better than my opponent, in hearts and opportunities), but I had a up arrow... and I don't understand why...

Could someone tell me why?

Hi,

Standing philosophy make you team squads play as plan. Whereas in contrast, dynamic philosophy
allows your team to play better or worse depending on your luck (Randomly).

Players' performance will fluctuate more if you choose very dynamic.
Players' performance will not fluctuate much if you choose standing and very standing.

OK, thanks a lot!

You have a hard job for make of GKO a great simulator. Great job for the moment!(I remember PM... but it could be better).

Another question is there's no inconvenient. Why, if I don't chose any creative freedom (default), I had a down arrow? I expected the result was "nothing".

Thanks a lot!
