To be clear, I am not talking about
anonymous proxies (those that show up as xxx.xxx ip address) but something all together different. The difference is that an anonymous proxy hides a person's ip address but it is apparent to everyone that it is a proxy (it shows up as xxx.xxx.xxx...)
Elite proxy servers not only hide the real IP, but they hide the fact the user is using proxy servers for connection. In other words, they make it appear that the user is not proxy server at all - the make it look as if the IP address one is providing is a 'real' IP address. These will look like regular ip address (e.g.153.765.234...) but the results from an ip search will be "this is a hidden proxy".
Anonymous proxies are sometimes used in businesses or schools to protect terms of service agreements or on WAP mobile networks, but only cheaters use elite proxies on a game site.8 months ago I found that one manager in my league was using an elite hidden proxy to login to his/her account in my league so I started a new thread
here on this topic, but
admin never responded. I quit caring not long after my last post in the thread, because the manager appeared to have given up on the game. Then, a few weeks ago, I noticed the team got an unlikely victory, so I checked and, lo and behold, the manager had logged in for the first time in over 6 months, still using the elite hidden proxy. It appears
the manager was farming money during this time, and since returning has spent almost 3 million on the transfer market in only 2 days! I hate to say "I told you so", but the manager is not a premium user and does not respond to personal messages, which makes this highly suspicious. Clearly something is up here and the manager has been reported, but I still want to know, officially:
is the use of an elite hidden proxy prohibited in GKO?
