Yes, 8 weeks. However, it is better than the old system, which you don't know anything about the promoted player.
Better? Different i'd say.... youth players now are older than before (so, harder to train), and some players must be promoted inmediately because their age is 18 years old. I'm sorry but i can't consider this an improvement.... a different enviroment at most.
The funniest thing is that player reports now cost 3 token..... why do you consider that receive an estimated report from a player in our own youth academy should be more expensive than a player that isn't ours? If somebody wants to receive a report from any player in transfer market, it cost 2 token, people must play more money for players that should know better?
BTW, youth player's level has decreased globally, that's not an improvement either.....
If the dev team can accept a humble suggestion, at least let people receive a decent money from those crappy player they promoted, after investing MILLIONS, i like the "variable money received" concept, but people now receives bad players and must be stick to time or set them free, that's not fair too....
