Those deleted topics, I think that they are only soft deleted, if that is the case, administrators of the forum still have access to them and can restore them in special forum called archive, but all that depends of administrators, I asked for plugin for stopping bots to post spams every second day, which is 2 minutes work and still haven't received answer from them. Administrators should give more privileges to moderators, or just to only one, make him super moderator and give limited access to administrator panel, that way the forum will be make into better place about us the ordinary users of the forum.

« on: September 28, 2013, 06:37:07 PM »If admin can't be connected 24/7 and doesn't want to improve forum security, then give moderators more power, so they can get rid of spamming bots easily. If a moderator removes a spamming bot's message and the bot keep posting, then moderators are in a lost war.
I agree with Carlos. Moderators should have the power to ban users from posting in some form of probationary measure. That way, they have the final say in a spam delete war.
Wrong in both cases, if there isn't plug in implemented to prevent bots from registering, war with bots will be endless, the more you ban, more will come. I have experience with maintenance forums and I know what I am talking, so plug in for bots is MUST in every forum who have open registrations.

There is one solution, but the best is to implement on registration, like the plug in works, in that way the bot wouldn't be able to pass the captcha and wouldn't be able to register. Also this can be resolved in adding one more field (question) in registration form, it is enough to be a math question 2+2 there is plenty solutions for this issue, but it depends on admins to read and implement

My suggestion is not connected with the game, but with the spam bots that we see everyday and gives trouble to moderators. There is excellent plug in for smf to stop spam bots, why do not you install and get rid of the bots ...? Here is example of one of the plug ins that will work perfectly, as spam bots can not enter captcha code and answer questions:

Best solution in my opinion will be to allow only 3 channels for chat, Global, Channel for player adds and country channel for chat, in that way country channels will be spam free and must be punishments for global chat spamming, there could be few chat moderators for Global and player adds channel and for communicating with players from other countries we have PM. In my opinion this would be best solution
