Same as -> http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=6293.0

But for ...

1. A player will remain in the transfer market for 3 days. Team that offer the highest wage for the player, in the mean time, place the bid not less than 40% of the highest bid will get the player. (2 offers : wage + bid)

Change to

1. A player will remain in the transfer market for 3 days. Team that offer the highest wage for the player, in the mean time, place the bid not less than X % of the highest bid will get the player. (2 offers : wage + bid)

Where x is a random number for each player.

to buy a player, I need to get lucky?
I buy it or not?
then I'm going to raise money for an entire season if the end
will not depend on my being able to buy what I want, I'll just buy what I can

This is a bit strange..........

But, at the end of the day you either:

a) offer a winning wage or
b) you take a lucky shot at offering a lower wage but a high bid.

If you lose, you try for next player. simple. Not exactly ruining the game, just a bit odd.

the wage is a big problem...... as so many stud's think they are some clubs like  Anzhi Makhachkala.   we need some penalties/fix for those dumbos who paid a lot of wages.

i once spoted  a good FC but some thai noobs paid nearly 15000 for him, and 2weeks later, think he had been backfired and he offered a extreamly cheap price to another thai club for the same amount of wages, now that talent had been wasted.

i still suggest inject the free agent wages rule (*40) into normal club to club transactions. that shall make them reconsider

Let's watch the actual football world that transfer can not be done until  the player and his previous club are satisfied with buyer's offer. Others don't know exact price of the trade.     According to it, we can't criticize admin's new X policy simply.

I agree, there should be a limit to what you can pay in wages. Maybe the chariman will allow you to offer no more than 20% of your wage budget on one player.

On that subject: do we know if the bug is fixed to stop managers going above thier wage budget?

::) Random is not equal to fair....... I wonder do you think is it  fair this new system?  :-\

I'd say the system quit being fair with the introduction of premium accounts....

To play on your words, I would say that while random is not equal, it is fair. In other words, while the outcomes of randomly generated numbers are not ever going to be equal, they are "fair" in that everyone has the same chance of a given outcome.
 :)
On that note, if it's that easy to randomize something in GKO transfer system, I'd have rather seen transfer deadline time-of-day randomized and hidden.By only revealing the date and whether it is AM [00:00:00-11:59:59] or PM [12:00:00-23:59:59]) the transfer period ends, and not the exact time, while adjusting transfer search engine to only returns results for players whose transfer deadline is not the current 12-hour period.
The transfer system would be made much fairer by eliminating last-minute bidding and all the headaches and tricks that go with it. It would even eliminate the need for the randomized % thing this thread was started for...

Random number is within the range 3x-7x of the maximum bid. You have to try to place the highest bid and offer the highest wage as possible.

We do not want users to offer the highest wage but place only 40% of the highest bid. But we want users to place the highest bid and offer the highest wage as possible. This is the reason why we choose this approach.
