Player's wage/UNH doubt

Admin, i've some players that increased their market value a lot, however they still aren't requesting a new contract.
I took a look in desired contracts if i'd renew them, and some of them wants the double than their current contracts, but they're not unhappy yet.
Does that big difference affect their performance or not? I mean, should i wait them to request a new contract or i should renew them ASAP, to prevent player's performance loss in their curret situation?

This beeing said, contract feature need to be reworked... Today there is no drawback to have all players with max length contract, even those who are very old, or those we are going to sell... There are some features to develop there, like :

- charges to fire a player depends on contract remaining length ( the longer, the higher fee )
- charges to transfer a player depends on contract remaining length ( the longer , the more indemnity the player want, within the 80-70 ratio ...1 year = you get 80 % of the transfer, 5 years = 70 % ... )
- any good idea is welcome
