What exactly is the point of the youth squad?

So I don't understand the reason for it. We can't play our players in matches if they're on it, so I find myself transferring players from youth team to regular squad once a week for friendlies, then put them back on the youth team....but why should I do it? Are there training bonuses or salary effects, or does it speed the time to adapt to a new team? If so, do these get applied if they move from youth to main squad (and back) once a week for a day or so? Thanks in advance!

that's boring to swap players in youth/A teams every week indeed...
By the way, once a player left the youth squad, he should not be able to go back in it.

Once a player is 20 you can't put him back to youth squad.. I have a player who already played several official games for my first squad, and I can still put him into youth team.. But anyway, I also think there should be a kind off a youth league, in which interested manager can subscribe to join a youth league.

I suggest to cancel the training bonus in the youth team players

instead of establishing a youth league for them... those kids also needs playing games, not sitting in the bench all days  :D

I keep forgetting to do this, but the bonuses were pretty small, and most of them play in League games.....
