IMO, it is silly that a player with PR1 gets the same skill improvement from match appearance as a PR4 player, even if their LA has been reached.
I think that - even at this point - a PR4 player should improve skills 4X faster than a PR1 player from match play. To be clear, I am not suggesting PR should have this effect on skill improvement from training, only match appearances. This is particularly important now that PR drops so much more quickly that it did previously once a player reaches age 21.

Maybe it should have some effect...otherwise, they might as well all automatically go to 1.

Yes, but then again as players get older PR decreases so a say 25 year old will have PR=1... In my opinion all players should gain something, perhaps more mental stats, then technique stats and last physical.

Player has reached his limits. PR4 would give 1 skill every 4 league match. I would like that too but c'mon, you have to have limits. Do you want every single team to have a decent players. Imagine what monsters you could train with 16y PR5-7.

Sure it sounds logical, but human has limits. We already can train + 1-2 players limited ability so thats more than enough

Voted no.
All the players must have a defined limit, regardless to PR. If not, players with PR<5 will become garbage, which is not now.
So it would be better that when CA reaches LA, PR will become 1 for all the players.

Honestly, a PR5 that reaches his LA would be improving 0,15 each match (if the skill is lower than 15 or 13 in keepers) do you have any idea its effects in a player used in friendly, custom cup, league and wcc and international match, only 30 minutes? We are talking about 0,9 improvement each week, it's a madness! Why do we have limited ability, then?

Youth are promoted with 15 years old, are you calculating its impact on 6 seasons (until his PR reduces) just think about it....

And just to add..... don't you think that some youth players are starting to improve too fast?

I bought a 3/8/5 striker when the season begun, he is almost CA5 now, at this pace he will be CA7 at the end of season, i don't even want to imagine how fast would improve a PR7 with my training structure.... However one thing is for sure, i believe that profits are starting to get too big, the gap is starting to become huge.
IMHO, match bonuses should be lower when a player is younger than 18 years old, we are starting to have players maxed at 17 years, not even Messi were that good at that age... players become really mature about 20 or 21 years old, not before.... what do you say?

well, nobody has respond what i have just said although all looks familiar.

Dunno if Lo Zar's suggestion is doable. I have couple 20y old players with LA=CA and PR4(still) and they are getting like 0.01 progress from league matches. You can do it PR1 or leave PR4 they will get same amount of match bonus wont they?

If a player is getting 0.01 in a match, that's probably because he is improving a skill higher than 15, or he is training specific, am i wrong? The "normal" bonus is 0.03 if you set him to another skill.... am i wrong?

But you are right, litmits must be kept somehow.... we are starting to have too many 17yo superplayers, if we increase their profit, it will be even worst.

yes, i have told ,like 0.01,. i have stopped tracking their progress :-) current system looks ok for me and i see no serious reason to change it- limited ability means players limits

I understand and agree with this point

however, I see LA referring specifically to limits on improvement from training. I guess the main problem would arise with youth players who reach LA and have a high PR. I guess this could be solved by automatically reducing PR by half once LA is reached, and then once per season as per the new rule. This way a player with a PR of 5 would be reduced to 2 (i think) upon reaching their LA and then to 1 the following season, so the progress rate would still be better than LA1 player but not 0.9/week or something crazy.
