Training glitch??

So, i have a player, his CA is 7 and his LA is 8. I let him train set pieces, he's currently on 9/20 . His PR is 5. Somehow he never imrprove that stat in training, only in league matches he got a 0.32+, nothing in training @@

When an outfield player reachs CA7 he stops getting training from daily training. Only from matches. GK's stops even before CA7...

Here's one that has me perplexed. Post-match summary from a recent league match indicates that my PR3 youth and my PR2 older player both received the same skill improvement:

Addison Reeve   Off the ball  (+0.12)  Age 18 CA<LA PR3
Anastasio Pillon  Off the ball  (+0.12)  Age 22 CA<LA PR2

The PR2 player is not assigned to a trainer
the PR3 player has a great trainer
