u21 / national team discussions
« on: January 28, 2015, 10:23:01 PM »
I will be playing the following players regurarly throughout the qualification:
GK: Brede Olaussen - The only GK I will be fielding
DMR: Daniel Rypaas - Has great defensive skills. I hope some offensive skills will be trained. By far the best rightback with talent
DML: Ole Kristian Gustavsen - One of the strongest players in the team
DC: Petter Gran - Needs only balance, jumping and decisions otherwise a complete defender
DC: Gabriel Prestø - Insanely good single skills, might benefin from higher physical and mental skills, but close to being a spuerstar
DC sub: Bjarte Sandven - Mentally very strong. Excellent defending skills, lacks a tad acc and pace. Will be brought on in the second half.
DC sub: Dan Gulbrandsen - Impressive talent with strong physical skills, needs better defending. Wil be brought in as a sub, could be a national player until playoff starts
DMC: Felix Skarra  - Will be an important player at the playoffs and needs to be developed. Has to improve physically probably.
MC: High skill and good influence. The experienced midfielder will be playmaker as noone can challenge him in that position.
MC sub: Matteo Skarra - The most promising MC's with high LA. Needs matches and development. Will be important in the next u21 tournament.
ML: Bertil Sæther - A natural choice because of his skills.
AML: Bendik Håland - High LA and will be playing regularly in the league as well. Hoping to reach CA 9 this season. A future star I think.
ST: Theo Bakken - Needs pace and dribbelig, but is a complete striker, low secondary skills but does occupy the Panda attack. 33 goals last season.
ST: Brynjar Ståle - Also a promising striker with allround good skills. Not a head specialist, but very good scoring.

Players I would like to see on the national team:
- Dan Gulbrandsen : Needs to develop
- Oliver Berge : Our third best striker. WIll not get playingtime in the u21. We could need a strong backup.
- Charlie Holt : The second best DMC u21 player. Could use help in reaching his LA.
- Vilhelm Mørk : Would be a sub if more were available I think. Not LA 10 tho.
- Birger Flemmen : Our only real option as a AM C. Because of LA 8 he won play this season.
- Marcus Høibo : Actually a very promising player, but too old for his own good. If he is to flavor the national team in the future, he needs more matches.
- Leiv Haga : Very low PR, but LA 10. PLaying every match at WeAreUnited this season. With help he will become a highly skilled star player.
- Matteo Skarra : Actually not good enough to be a u21 player in skil, but is in potential and as a backup player in the future. We could benefit from him playing at the top level and not let him drag down the u21 side during the qualification.

In conclusion:
Our defence, strikers and left side is very strong. A DMC should balance and make sure we do not concede many goals. Hopefully our midfielders are srong enough to produce a few chances, but the right wing and AMC role is very weak. A second MC could be good in certain matches, but no real alternatives are thare with the skill to make a difference.

Some of talented players could be placed on the national team for experience, while our best u21 could be our best alternatives at all times. One DC, the MC, two SC and a DMC on the national team is my suggestion.

What do you think Tom?

These are my thoughts.

I'm not Tom but I would like to say something to you and Tom. :D

I think you should swap Brede Olaussen (7615191) with Øyvind Kristoffersen (7021121). I don't know who

will better when full CA.

I training Brede Olaussen different from Øyvind Kristoffersen because I need more choice for our Nation.

Øyvind Kristoffersen was full and more exp so I think he is better for World Cup Qualifying.

Brede Olaussen is not full and low exp so I think he's still play Friendly Match.

So we managed to reach the World Cup just as it all seemed darkest. With a crucial late goal (77th minute) from Oliver Berge, we managed to defeat Slovakia away from home, and thus passed them on the league table. I believe a tactical mistake from Slovakia helped us, as they tried to defend themselves to glory, which led to us dominating the game completely.

The games we lost points:
We lost away against Croatia, which was a coin-toss really. We dominated against Algeria but didnt manage to score, thus lost a point. The draw against Slovakia at home was also a cointoss. The home loss against Algeria was one of the seasons worst thievery. 12/5 against 2/2 chances tells its own tale. Away against Latvia they changed their tactics, and took us by surprise. Draw was fair and square.

The games we won:
Away against Guinea_Bissau, easy win, should have produced more chances. Same story against Liberia away, but at least we scored two goals. We got a bit lucky at home against Croatia, but we had clearly more shots on target. Away against Papua New Guinea we dominated and scored loads. We also dominated against Latvia away and scored 4. We should have scored 4 home against Guinea-Bissau, but only scored the one. At home against Liberia we had no way of loosing, but they scored a goal, luckily we scored 5. 13 shots home against New Guinea resulted in one goal, but a win.

All in all we could have won all the matches, but most matches were fair. We had a semi hard group, and were very very close to falling out because of the Algeria match. But it all turned out fine in the end.

Job well done so far.
The next fase should be possible to get through, opposition isn't too good. However, I wonder about the tactics... with a compact left side and a lone central mid... is this the best one?

I will keep the pressure up on the left side yes. Our strongest offensive forces are left sided, while our middle is ou weak side. We have close to no alternatives as to AMC or extra MC. Since we are facing a bot next round nothing much will happen tactical wise. But it will not be the tactic for the rest of the tournament, that I can say. I have studied our opponents and have a plan in mind. But lets see how and what they do against each other first.

I failed to win any of the two remaining matches in the group, even if we didnt loose any games. Both matches against respectably Slovenia and United States were very even. A coin-toss could have been decisive, but it didnt happen.

This resulted in our utter failure to advance to the knock-out stages of the tournament. But only by the smallest of margins as Slovenia played 1-1 against the US and thus score one more goal than us. This was very disappointing, but our lack of scoring has been a problem throughout the qualifier also. Our main problem is the lack of midfielders (MC or AMC) which doesnt allow us to dominate any matches. We do create enough chances to score I think, but with 1 goal in 8 shots at goal, we kinda doesnt deserve to move on.

Slovenia is now going to face Argentina in the next round, and even if im not a betting man, all my money goes on Argentina.

I hope the next candidate can do a better job than me, but at least I bring some realism to the game. Norway is as boring to watch in GKO as in reality.

Im so sorry to all of you who believed in the team, I do take the blame and will not run for a new period because of lacking results.

I don't think that, you should change information and tactic when you play with Nation Bot for more score but your information look like you don't want. :(

1. I will wait coach Norway choose player then I will choose more and confirm on Tuesday.

2. I will choose player not over 20 years because I and next generation can use.

3. I will choose player CA7+ LA9+ PR3+ for U-21 World Cup next season. (11 players or more)

4. I will training LA10+ 3 players or more because it's good for Nation future.

5. I will choose player CA9 on season 21st or less than 9 if no have.

P.S. Player have to play in league and friendly match then I will choose because it's show your determination.

Hei venn

3. Jeg vil velge spiller CA7+ LA9+ PR3+ for U-21 World Cup neste sesong. (11 spillere eller mer)
