Hard tackling boost ball possession but at the same time it increase the risk of getting yellow/red cards and getting injured.
I've read all opinions and concerns about this option. However, the national competition in Gokickoff will be like this for several seasons until we find the best solution that is happy for most people. There are issues if we enable this options. For example, some countries may try to buy decent players from other countries and don't let these players play national football match just to help their nations win.

You can just exclude hard tackling option in NT tactics and problem solved.

Ok from now on i will not use HARD TACKLING in friendly, as a national manager.

i don't want to have any enemies against tiny MALTA.

Well, the problem will remain, but at least we have some info about hard tackling again, thanks admin for clarification.

Stefan, nobody wants to have enemies here, but i don't want extra problems to deal with (such as unnecesary injuries), i think you can understand my point, good luck with your NT, there is a lot work to do when you start late, but i know you will do it fine, regards

Admin does make a good point about how this option can be exploited. Managers may just decide that they don't want their players in big qualifying matches, but this can be solved by only allowing managers to have the option for friendly matches.
If you allow managers to opt out of friendlies, but not out of qualifying and stage matches, you give the option to keep players out of friendly matches that are less important and also don't handicap managers in fixtures where they will need a full squad.

The subject of hard tackling is a non-issue in my opinion. The country has elected a manager. If this manager has decided that he/she wants to use hard tackling, that is the managers choice. That manager may not consider the player health, the home teams need or any other consideration. Yet, that manager has been given the mandate to lead the team. Problems with this should be taken up with the national team manager and isn't something I think admin. needs to adjust.
Hard tackling is a part of the game. I am a gunners fan and know the horrors of how injury can break a team. This is a part of football. Hard or not, players still can get injured. Nobody likes it.
This is why I still support the option to allow users to opt out of FRIENDLY WORLD CUP MATCHES. We will all have to wait and see how opinions on this issue go.

Carlos, i never accused Thailand of anything, i just used them as an example. In fact, the players from the thai team are fit most of the time so i have nothing to complain about them.

As for hard tackling, u are making it sound like we use hard tackling all the time. I don't like hard tackling either and use always easy in friendlies.

Maybe my memory failed this time, if so, i apologize, i tought you also had an injured player last WC, but if you say you didn't have one, i were wrong then, but you can't deny that you had to deal with injuries after using hard tackling sometimes, right?

But don't get me wrong, i am not saying that "Belgium has dirty managers that always plays hard tackling", you pick when to use them and i'm okay with it, i understand that you want to win official matches and i'm okay with it, i'm not used to do it but i understand. If there's one attitude i don't share is playing always hard tackling, no matter if you are playing a friendly or against a bot team, that's the attitude we should try to get rid IMHO.

Sometimes I have to deal with injuries even when I don't use hard tackling. Ok, the risk is higher with hard tackling, but there will always be injuries. They are part of football.

I play hard tackling when I have the feeling that the opponent is stronger than my team and if I really have to win. Most teams in RL do the same by the way.

On the other hand, I agree that everyone should play with easy tackling in friendly games. Both for NT as on club level, I believe that you shouldn't even have to get the choice to choose your tackling intensity. It should automatically be easy tackling, BUT then friendly NT-matches should not be taken into account to determine a country's ranking (I don't know if this is still the case, but I know it was the case).

If hard tackling is not allowed in any friendly matches, this will cripple the competitions that some users organize using friendly fixtures. I think that managers need to use their skills of negotiation when dealing with other managers. A personal message to another manager about how you wish things to go in a friendly match usually will get you the conditions that you want. There are times when some managers will do things outside what you may have agreed, but this can be solved simply by not playing teams with reputable managers. If a manager wants to always use hard tackling, perhaps as a part of his general strategy, that manager should still have the option to use it, even if the only goal is to injure your players. This is the risk of playing the game.

Maybe it's not representative experience yet, but the only injury of my player (speaking of this season) happened on a friendly match, where easy tackling was set by both teams. So, injuries could happen whatever you set, and I don't think it's possibility increase that much with hard tackling. Maybe it does increase, but it's not that significant increment.
