General Discussion(English Only) / Re: Armagedon. Players without contract

;) Admin should make it fair by offering some other penalty to teams getting their players back.

;) Strangely, I agree with Kr10 here, as rare as that has been in the past. People who follow the rules should not face disadvantages for their actions. Admin will do what ever they decide, but I do see how this sends the wrong message. I don't agree that people who followed the rules should get funds either. I think if you are going to allow those players to have players who were not contracted, there should be a penalty to those teams. Let them take some fines or reduce their capital at some rate that will even out the costs other managers have had to spend on upgrading their facilities.

;) I believe that people should be free to present their opinions about admin and the climate of GKO. It is disappointing however that some critics complain regardless of the situation. I speak about the posts I read from many angry players seeking more involvement from the Admin. If I were the admin, I wouldn't say much either. Although many of the complaints about Admin are valid, the hostility in which they are presented as well as the disregard they do show towards any admin action is unacceptable. Make demands of admin and hold them accountable for things that happen in this game, but please try to present comments that are productive and not vindictive. I agree that admin has been relaxed in the past in their dealings with many issues. If we want this to change, it will not happen by further destroying any relationship we have left with admin.

Many people are angry and have deep passion for this game. Others could probably do a better job and would probably be more interested. Yet, we have what we have. Some may find what I have to say annoying but to me it seems that the way some are going about this will only make the situation worse. I am sure that admin doesn't read our posts much anymore. I wouldn't either if the tone was always as hostile as it is towards them.

Let me be clear. I am not satisfied with admin involvement in the game but I also don't think our hostile complaints help the situation either. We all have our opinions. I only ask you think about how we express them.

Tips and Tricks (English Only) / Re: Effect of trainer on a +CA7 player?
« on: February 03, 2016, 02:05:56 AM »
It will take a while for the player to reach his potential. He is not young anymore and will soon suffer a decrease in his progress rate. At that time, progress will be slower. He will continue to get better if you continue to play him but if you have better options for that position, they should be given serious consideration. It comes down to what you are working with. If you have a team of LA9's is it worth training that player but if you have a team of LA5's he will still end up the best player on the team.

;) I have a theory that leaving them on hard or very hard training will have some benefit for players if you don't fear the injury factor. Every so often, you will have a great training session and will get some training.. Is it worth it? More research is needed before I can come to that conclusion.

If you write admin, you may get a faster response but it isn't a guarantee.

General Discussion(English Only) / Re: How to beat Offisde Trap??
« on: November 09, 2015, 08:01:35 PM »
;) I think the most important thing about beating the trap is having a player who can bet the trap on the field. (More preferably) Have these players build the attack. Depending on who has the best chance of beating the trap will determine your tactics. Use tactics that suit the players you expect to have the greatest chance of beating the trap and play towards their strengths. Nothing is guaranteed but at least this way you give your attackers the best chance at beating the trap.

;) Clearly there is something wrong here. The LA says he is a 6 but the prediction of growth puts him at an 8. This is the first time I have seen a player display look like this. I would question admin about the player incase there is a bug.

In other way your suggestion Drifter is not an good idea, those two clubs will pay wage of this player wich still remain on crazy level, just a beat lower...

;) It sure is a bad idea but when there are no other ideas except bad ones, those ideas start to look good. It is a frustrating mistake, one that will cause a lot of disruption, but outside and admin assist, there are few options. Let's not forget that one of those options might be to do nothing and watch the team fall apart next season change. Don't give up hope. Something positive might still come out of the situation.

36
;) I agree with that. I usually contact the Nat coach and ask him what he needs. He will benefit from national training so I want him to be the player the Nat coach wants to play. If that means training him a certain way, that is what I will do.

;) Be creative. Try finding a club who will buy your player on a 2 year contract and then buy a player from that team at the cost incurred in 2 seasons. In this way, that club may come out ahead in they agree to something that will benefit that club. Agreements to buy or sell players at above or below market value in most cases seems like the activities of a cheater, but your situation is a bit unique so I'm sure many will be understandable of what you are trying to do should you take this route.

I don't agree that admin must assist in this situation. I do believe that rules are set in place and shouldn't change but admin might help if you ask given your situation. Though, I'm sure your not the first to make this mistake, maybe not to that extent but similarly surely.

If all else fail, hire a hitman and take the guy out...  8)

;) Yes, I seem to have read this suggestion many times and of course, many vet users have good solutions for dealing with this problem, and the problem of not being able to make positional changes during the game. Perhaps this will be the new update next season. ::)

:-X Go easy on the guy. I'm sure he is new to the game and doesn't understand what you mean Spam. If you have ideas like that, you should submit them to Admin. Most here don't believe you will get a response but that shouldn't stop you from voicing your opinion. Just be prepared for not getting an answer in a timely fashion or at all. But... you can't be sure until you try.  >:( 8)

Need help ? / Re: Developing player realistic expectation
« on: June 15, 2015, 09:14:55 AM »
;) The problem with training PR2 players is they grow so slowly. If you commit to playing the player, they will reach their potential but how long will that take and when they do reach their potential, will that still be competitive. That is the question I think you must balance here. The player, if played, will make his LA but do you want to wait that long?

44
That was priceless.

 8) Not a bad idea.

;) Must be nice to be paid for winning. I make more money playing a league match than for winning anything in my league. League prizes don't really do much to finance clubs from the "under privileged" leagues." We must accept 300K and must be happy with it. Thank the Gods our administration is so concerned with fairness. About as concerned as they are about telling us when the league will start.

Fun Fun. We have several new people waiting to sign up for the league but I'm sure it will go just as it did before. They won't join the league, will get bored and then loose interest. A note to all those in a similar situation... either love the game for what it is or you are out of luck...

48
;) Many of those managers who have been here for long don't expect things to change. In fact, the idea of seeing things change is laughable as you can asses from the comments above. Most people like the game and play not expecting much from administration. They continue to play due to their love of the game and the interactions it creates for them. It has little to do with the management of the game or its progressiveness.

:D It isn't impossible that there might be changes next season but it is unlikely. Basically, we expect more of the same.

;) If this game was fair, we would all have the same players with the same stats. If this game was fair, we would all get the same payouts at the end of a league season. If this game was fair, users would not be able to have one or two or three accounts just because they paid. If this game was fair, premium wouldn't be a factor and match of the season would not exist.

My point is that this game is not fair. I don't like it but that is life sometimes. Life isn't fair either. You must do what you can in the environment that is set before you. Of course there are people cheating. Even if admin was vigiliant, there would still be those trying to find any way forward, even by illegal means.

It's ugly and distasteful but so are so many other things in this game. But we all love the game so we just have to deal with it or find your own way to punish teams you don't like.

;) I'm not sure I agree that match fixing is cheating. It is distasteful and certainly doesn't give a fair representation of the competition, but I don't think I have read anywhere in the rules that says you can't put out any players in any formation and tactical setup that they want. True, some people do fix matches so that the results suit them, but this also happens in real leagues around the world. In the champions league, European Cup and many other venues where a draw is beneficial, teams do play negatively and work to insure a draw.  I'm sure it is not fun for some users but it's the same as mots in my opinion. Its an option in the game that some may not like. I don't support match fixing, but it is what it is and complaining about it doesn't really do much to change it.
