Hey Chuncho, I totally see where you're coming from, although the purpose of this post from the beginning was to call out on racism and hacking. I think there are other threads about cheating where I totally agree that I have no business in. That's just not the point here is it. The "porra china" Instagram picture is still the profile picture of "we win" in Egypt, and we haven't received any apology. You don't want to be on the wrong side of a debate Chuncho, don't do that.

The lack of a rule-enforcing body made the game descend into its current pitiful, embarrassing state. I wish admin is still as active as he/she was, as the fact that he/she isn't takes so much fun away from the game: you never know where to stop (in terms of cheating), the biggest cheater (usually) wins and everything else is just pointless.
Again I do not claim to be playing entirely by the rules, I am aware that match fixing and transfers between friends is technically not allowed. We just decided that since there's no rule enforcement then why not just sought the game experience we want, get some spice in our lives, some former players scoring against old team sort of stuff to talk about. I don't claim moral high ground, I just want to play a game with my friends, do fun stuff. I doubt that any of the Scottish players value those trophies half as much the right to banter amongst us.
I am not really defending the Chinese user you're talking about here, I would rather leave his defence to himself. I am inclined to agree with most of what you said, but who am I to judge? When in a jungle I guess it's natural for some people to resort to jungle rules, and while obviously I look up to players who don't cheat, I understand why in the current state of affairs people do. Of course, as you said Chuncho, that cannot possibly be the same. I just want to say that whatever he did shouldn't justify racist attacks. I think racism is way more serious matter than cheating in an online game, which is why I bothered speaking at all. I do think you would most likely agree with me on that. I also don't think hacking is actually legal (even though it is in some ways morally justifiable...).
I really don't think admin should be in a position to allow cheaters just for the sake of those clicks really. If he wants it's so easy for anyone to just create 100 teams, script the log-ons and use energy three times a day. How would that still be a football managing game though? Either bring back the old banning/fining system, otherwise I see no way the game can be anything other than a giants' play yard where the biggest cheater wins...

TheBestManager, you are a really entertaining person indeed!  8)
The other day I listed two of my players, one of whom a 5/7/3 DR for 100k.  :)
Then I tagged the 5/7/3 DR as 5/5/3 via the "draft a speech" function, just to witness the brilliant slandering antiques from our best clown ;)
And thank you very much, TheBestManager, for your kind purchase!  8) It's good to know you are as quick to bite baits as you are to sink into cowardice and racism  :)

This escalated.
And yes I want to remind TheBestManager to refrain from attacking the network service of a civil institution, thus escalating it further.  :-X ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ; ;
I broke rules, I paid a fine! Happy?  :) - 10 log in and out within 3 minutes and still unsuccessful :)
So you've been in Hungary yesterday morning till 10:25AM, after 1 hour login from Oxford University and at the evening going back to Hungary. Long trip and an expensive one, ain't it :)
Initially I was alarmed about revealing my ip address. After an hour of me using all those tricks to do something with my own ip address, I realised it was not a problem after all. It's not like it's nuclear science to change one's ip address.  :)
TheBestManager keeps up his/hers pathetic slandering. It really is silly to back away from the fact that despite you realising that certain content is racist still somehow decided to upload them? Look here, I take responsibility for my own actions, I populated Scotland in GKO with friends who have a close or remote relation to Scotland, some of whom don't really care about the game and leave me to manage the teams and others who are so close to me we know everything about each others teams and constantly make transfers and fix matches with each other. Is it entirely legal? No, and I accept any criticism or judgement from anyone in the community for what I did. But I did it for a purpose: one I don't want non-Scottish people to ruin the country, and two I want to have a human manager for the national teams. I succeeded, and since all other native Scottish players declined to run for NT manager here I am. Did me and my friends ruin other people's game experience? Yes I probably did, for the "colonisers" who farmed in Scotland and bought CA2 players from other teams for millions. And much as I take any potential responsibility for not exactly playing with as much integrity as I should, I also take pride in bringing those people down and ruining their game.  8) Any major transfer ultimately required the (albeit sometimes reluctant or drinks-fuelled) acceptance of two people so if TheBestManager can manage to find any major transfer where the player in question did not succeed in the destination team feel free to post it here!  :)
Again I have to reiterate, I don't mind hacking for a good purpose. If any GKO community member finds a way to consistently hack multi-accounters' accounts and use that power responsibly I cannot but thank him/her. That was totally not an argument but part of a story that needs to be told to show what leads up to the real issue here: RACISM
Now back to the racism issue. TheBestManager seems to write it off. If Slant-eye is not racist, if "porra china" is not racist, then anything down the line of "**** people of colour" would be okay as well?? Kenedy apologised, and while Chinese people in general are still divided over whether or not to condone him, which they are totally entitled to, I'm okay with what TheBestManager proposed: let it slide. But uploading those pictures goes TOOOOO far. Of course there are other ways to report you, TheBestManager, and those prompt steps have long been taken. BUT DOES THAT MEAN I CANNOT POST ABOUT IT HERE IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSIONS??? Is it that the media irl are not allowed to cover criminal activities after they get sentenced?? Is it that society is not allowed to frown on sex offence after the offenders get caught out?? NOOO. You made a mistake, and instead of correcting it you're taking it further and further.
Now look who's trying to deflect the topic here? There is been a lot of heated arguments in the Chinese GKO community over naked women being used as profile pictures. A lot of people have been gravely offended and as far as my knowledge goes, all those who are still using obscene pictures as profile pics are no longer active within the game. Thank you very much for bringing up this perfectly legitimate issue!  ;)
I thank you for making the dodgy actions that had been taken by me and my mates in the past known to the community, thus giving me a chance to reflect and probably take responsibility. And I would like to do you this favour as well.  :) Apologise here and in the Chinese chat and change the racist pictures, and I guess that everyone will consider the issue over with.

First of all, whatever happened in Scotland was a drunkun stupor with a friend to whom I have apologized and who has accepted my apology. Plus, after checking chat history, any concrete threat of violence later turned out to be drunken invention from the part of my friend as well. It is worth noting though, that both my main team and my two other teams are premium, which as far as I know is totally allowed according to the rules of the game.  :-X As for the accused suppression of locals, as far as I know in Scotland, the only people apart from my friends who are obviously Scottish are Serbs, Thais and French people. No offence to people from those places, but they claim to be more Scottish than me, a half-Scottish, or my friends who are either Scottish or have lived there? This is the Scottish Reconquista mate.  ;)
Secondly, I don't know or care about what the motive behind the hacker is, the only thing I care about is that racism is and will never be acceptable. By the way, at least according to the original owner, the name was changed to fuck you after the hack as well. Again I am in no way trying to defend the original owner, just want to give a warning to racism in general.
Third, yeah there are lots of ways to hack a gko account, username=nickname=password being one, php being another, etc.  ;) Again as I said if whoever is hacking manages to hack multiple accounts but not their original I see nothing wrong with that. It's always the racism part that is not acceptable. And I find it strange that somehow TheBestManager find it funny for me to say that racism will have its consequences. Will it not? I take it that whatever I have done will have its consequences. So can be said about the said hacker. Is that funny in any way? I think not.  ;)
Somehow my dear friend TheBestManager seem to have some visual impairment towards racist contents. Disappointing but totally and completely understandable. Just take a look at the team called we win in Egypt sitting fifth in the top level, look at this guy's team emblem and google "Kenedy China instagram". I'm sure everyone seeing this post will have their judgement as to whether that is acceptable  :)
My dear friend also correctly pointed out that he doesn't see the purpose of the hacker doing anything in favour of the original owner of the teams. This is a very good point: I too, do not see any point in the hacker, who prior to that seemed to have on top of his/hers agenda the protection of the integrity of the game, to do what was done. I look up to hackers who serve a good cause, and I commend the actions of the hacker until that point. The original owner of the teams revolutionised the game in a lot of other ways than making money with vastly overpriced transfers, and if that incident could help him get back to his head then brilliant. In addition the owner doesn't speak any coherent English. Now a well-written, well-indented formal request addressing himself/herself as "fuck you"? This is a laborious but childish attempt to corrupt the image of Chinese players. And I hope anyone who is either a racial minority or identifies with racial equality will agree that, unfortunately the only option here is to speak out. No one is supporting "fuck you" here, or should I call you, TheBestManager? You earn my respect for trying innovative ways to uphold game integrity. But if you step over the racism line, I'm afraid I must urge you to stop before doing anything that will make you regret. And I hope you know what it is that I'm referring to.  ;D

So to my knowledge what happened is, this team once belonged to a Chinese user who had multiple accounts. Later all of his accounts other than his original one got hacked, and whoever hacked his teams spared no efforts to send xenophobic messages mostly directed at China. I mean, multi-accounting is a plague to the game and whoever does it to their advantage sure should be condemned, and in extreme cases using hacking to stop the excessive cheating may be quite understandable (although still very much illegal in most countries), this is DEFINITELY taking it too far.
It is a bit funny how this team is displaying racist messages directed at Chinese people on his/hers team slogan while apparently trying to help a Chinese team in the WCL. I'm guessing this is an attempt to damage the general image of Chinese users? I hope whoever is behind this understand that this is a totally childish move, hypocritical at the glance.
We hate cheaters as much as anyone does, and like every player in every other country we would ideally want admin to come back to police the game, or at least find an alternative to the current jungle rule system where the biggest cheaters prey on all others. But at the same time taking attacks on race or nationality into this IS TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE. There are cheaters in this game from all over the world, more of them from countries with more GKO players than those with fewer, as would be expected statistically. Any effort to write another countries off for the actions of some individuals is childish at best, malicious at worst. I do not want to sound like I'm threatening anyone, but if this does not stop, then be prepared to take consequences for your own actions.

And what about the user who is creating at least 5 teams in each league with the name ending with "INDIPSE"?!?!  ::)

Don't think any of them is getting assigned to any leagues though, guess admin is wise enough to avoid doing that.

Player sale advertisement service? Sounds like an interesting prospect   :-\

China / Re: 屌丝队的杯赛新纪录
« on: June 20, 2017, 02:38:57 PM »
这赛季我也是止步第七轮,创了杯赛最佳战绩 :)

I've been in this game since the beginning of season 6. This season that is about to conclude will be the 13th of my team in GKO, albeit its manager having been absent for one brief season in which the team was relegated to the forth division of Chinese football.
A middle school student haunted by teenage infatuation when introduced to the game, it would have been impossible to imagine that I would have become an aspiring university freshman in one of the world's most prestigious institutions while finding it increasingly hard to find time for the game. We started off as a pack of more than a dozen classmates colonizing the game; as time went by most of them, including the ones most adept at the game who had had far more success than I did, left in favour of other interests, leaving the underachievers behind.
It would have been impossible to imagine that the first LA8 player ever produced by anyone in my class would have reached 28 years of age; having remained on my shortlist ever since his arrival to the GKO world, he has been made available for 1m by his current employers. Will I make an offer for him? It's too soon to say, although it's important to remind myself that in life certain things weighed far more than money or success.
Finally, it would have been impossible to foresee that the game would have declined from the front-runner of online football management games to one that shies in comparison to its counterparts. It would have been easy to see in retrospect, that a game that lacked the amount of interaction necessary for compelling gameplay; a game that did not possess the required automation to regulate itself properly; and finally a game whose developers failed to plan for possible modifications to the game's code, let alone prospective additional features that would have changed its fortune.
How much longer I will keep on playing I don't know; perhaps as long as the game will be. One thing I'm sure: the second I feel capable of injecting life back into this game, I would get into action straight away. For instead of the moribund collection of webpages that give a distant suggestion of football in its innuendo, the GKO I will always have in mind is a world of magic where words and numbers come to life, a world where brave men and women from around the world gather to give their best and their worst.
Again, apologies for making it emotional.

I guess i may have to apologise for the fact that there are a couple of 10LA strikers in China, fact of which look a bit gloomy for your QuanXinwen...
Next time try to get a youth from a less populated country, not one from China... You're killing your own chance of getting your players into an NT  :'(

We're just so glad that admin is still here and that he wasn't killed in some roadside accident...

China / Home Town of Victoire-C9历险记
« on: April 27, 2014, 01:00:19 PM »
to be continued :D
