Title: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: admin on November 08, 2010, 04:51:38 AM
Every attributes of a player are improving daily though you don't setup a training course for him, however, sometimes you need
to setup a specific training program for him to focus on increasing of certain attributes more than the others. This does not mean that
the other attributes are not improving; they are but at a smaller rate.

Different types of training program affect differently to how a player improves his skills.
Each of them tends to maximize certain attributes, as shown belows.

* Please note that skills apart from those in the selected training program may have a chance to improve as well.
* The "fitness" attribute of a coach denotes his ability for speed training

Attacking
-crossing
-creativity
-off the ball
-passing

Defending
-positioning
-marking
-tackling
-passing

Goalkeepers
-handling
-reflex
-rushingout
-kicking
-oneonones
-aerialability

Shooting
-finishing
-longshots

Setpiece
-setpiece

Ball Control
-dribbing
-technique
-agility

Tactical
-teamwork
-decisions

Aerial
-jumping
-heading

Fitness
-balance
-stamina
-strength

Mental
-aggression
-determination
-influence

Speed
-acceleration
-pace

Are atributes jumps are done in specific day or it can happend every day?
Can you tell us what have more influence on training- trainers or training pitch?

probably he trains both attributes together every day, most players will gain more skill in what he finds it easier.

As written in the first post every attribute is improving daily. I assume training is updated every day, e.g. condition. In fact, it is not clearly said when the jumps of attributes happen? It could be nice to have a kind of announcement of any rise of an attribute or at least info on Club News or on Player's profile page.

probably when the game starts for real we should have an updated report containing a daily or weekly drills, as well as have the finances.

But what about "speed"?The coaches don't have this attribut, so how we can train pace in this case?

The "fitness" attribute of a coach denotes his ability for speed training. Sorry that it isn't clear.

@admin: I think that your first tip from here needs some clarification.
Because, for ex with attacking training my players have trained at others skills (like technique, longshots) not only crossing, creativity, passing and off the ball.
Same thing with shooting training (improved skills influence) and goalkeepers training (improved skill technique)
Thank you!

Set the training course to be "Fitness".

Fitness is a coach skill... I can't set a Fitness training for a player.

Sorry, it was our mistake.
I suppose the wording 'strength' should be change to 'fitness'.
Anyway, I've reported this issue to the programmers.

Are these trainings eaquly important? I mean, for example, for DC are:
-tackling
-heading
-marking
-strenght
-positioning
-decisions

eaquly important, or this list means that tackling is most important, then heading, marking...and less important of all is decisions???
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes

Most are covered by "defending". If he is that bad, then I suggest selling him  :-\
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: nuerta on February 07, 2011, 01:58:51 PM
Yes, but DECISIONS is TACTICAL training, but on this list it's last. My question on this example: is DECISIONS eaquly important as TACKLING or is it less important, becouse it's last on the list?
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: blahblah on February 07, 2011, 02:22:17 PM
Depends what he is worst at.

Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: nuerta on February 07, 2011, 02:58:34 PM
Let's say it's DECISIONS.
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: blahblah on February 07, 2011, 03:05:18 PM
Yep
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: nuerta on February 07, 2011, 03:13:02 PM
So, in my case, for DC, DECISIONS is equally important as TACKLING and HEADING...
And I must set him TACTICAL training?

Also same example, different player:
20 years
DMC
Tackling 15
Decisions 13
Marking 11
Streinght 8
Positioning 8
Determination 5

Now, should I set his training DEFENDING or MENTAL (becouse his Determination is so low)?
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: blahblah on February 07, 2011, 03:48:50 PM
Personally, I would get his positioning up to 10.

Is he DMC, or DC?
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: admin on February 07, 2011, 04:29:26 PM
@nuerta + blahblah

It depends on your strategy.
Decision, for example, is important when you play offside.

This might be helpful -> http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=8.0 (http://forum.gokickoff.com/index.php?topic=8.0)

Is it a balance between all the training options?

I guess ir depends on the player himsel, training grounds level and if he will play games

There's something that i don't have really clear, when you see a players skill, something like this will be shown:

My question is: ¿what coach level and training groud level are considered "standard"? Okay facilities (level 3) or just very bad (level 1)? Same for coaches...... a coach that you get from a 10,000G search or a coach obtained from a 100,000G search?

Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes

Standard refers to your current level of training facilities.

I think you mean that "fitness" is listed in coach attributes, but not in training menu?
"Fitness" refers to speed (pace, accel) or strength (strength, stamina) training.

Hello admin,

I have a pretty big problem (in my opinion :p). I trained Tactical which is as I quote you :
Tactical
-teamwork
-decisions

But, my player Marcel Dupond (6185639) (http://www.gokickoff.com/team_player_detail.php?player_id=6185639) didn't trained in teamwork, nor decision. Here the last matchs he had, he trained (I didn't keep track of every day training) :
- Marking
- Heading
- Dribbling
(- Pace) Well I'm not sure but I think beginning to this one, it was my previous training.

My main problem is I almost reach its potential without trained the caracteristic I wanted. Pretty ugly, right ?
Is there a problem with this training ? Can you check about it ?

Obviously, I will change my training right now. But, if by any luck you can reverse this mess, it would be great.
(Well no need to comment this, I know I'm dreaming :p)

Edit : I forgot, I have 2 other players doing tactical too. And the same irregularities appears. Like it's a default training ?

Diodore Roy (6293659)  (http://www.gokickoff.com/team_player_detail.php?player_id=6293659)
- Marking
- Tackling
- Didn't play

Baptiste Leon (5034321)  (http://www.gokickoff.com/team_player_detail.php?player_id=5034321)
- Balance
- Pace
- Decisions

Worked once it seems ...

When you train group of skills there is a possibility to get any skill.
From rules chapter 6
Quote
In this game, you are able to select priority focus area for each player to be trained. However, skills other than the priority focus area has a chance of improvement as well
.
If you want to train one skill you should choose a specific training for this skill.

I could understand if I got 1 of those "other" skills out of 3. But 7 out of 8 ! I don't see the aim of this thread to categorize every training if it's completely wrong.

And, I'm amazed you could consider this is a satisfactory answer in this case. But if you are right, this game is even more mess up than I though.

Yes my answer is complete, I gave you the rules and advise. Again:
If you want to train one skill you should choose a specific training for this skill.

But if you want to discuss about rules you have to write to :

In every game, it's the same. Some guys, like you, consider they can talk instead of the staff. I didn't ask you anything and your answer is obvious and lack the knowledge an admin could have. In one word, it's useless and quite aggressive on top of it.

I posted here because a lot of players check this thread to plan what they will do next. If it's wrong, an edit of the 1st post is needed urgently. If not, a lot of players will have the same disatisfactory experience and we can expect quite some will either stop playing or stop paying. Which is bad in both case. It's my first game where the training is mess up. It's a cruel let down.

Now if this exchange displease admin/GM/moderator, feel free to act which you consider is the best course of action. In my case, I'm completely down to see my effort has been killed by what seems to be a bug. So, as you can expect, don't count on me to pay any time soon for a broke game.

(Ruta, I'm finished here, no need to answer again :p)
Title: Re: Playing Training Course VS Improving Attributes
Post by: Brian Clough on July 26, 2013, 12:06:04 AM
Az, Ruta knows what he is talking about.

1) This is not a bug. If you set to a general (nonspecific) training program, the player will train in that program for a few days, after which the training result will often be random. If you change the training program every few days you shouldn't get any random results even without training a specific skill. However, if you want to avoid random training results over longer time periods, you need to use specific skill training.

2) GKO admin rarely responds to posts in the forum. If you want a response from admin directly, you should email gokickoff.gm@gmail.com
