While it is important that only "nationals" (using the term loosely) get to vote for their NT manager, why not allow managers to become candidates for any NT they want? Many nations have foreign NT managers in the RW so why not gko too?

Some nations have many very good managers (only 2 of which can manage NTs) while others have very few. Just display manager nationality next to his (or her) name during voting and limit managers to declaring their candidacy for only 1 position in a given election. Of course, this would only apply to nations with a NT manager, not tiny nations without. What do you think?

I am against another manager from another NT lead a national of another country, for that there will be many interests.

On the one hand (let's say it's my right hand), this idea appeals to me.

A big league like England's league always has a lot of candidates putting themselves forward for the NT role. It's at the point where, although I would like to be England's NT manager, I don't bother putting myself forward.

I want to try out being a NT manager, but I don't think I could get the England job. You raise a good point about a so-called 'national' getting the role. I'm not even sure if England's manager (who hasn't been seen for three fecking months now), is actually English.

On the other hand (my left hand), I'm not sure how we could get that to work.

How would the voting system work? If someone applies to be a NT manager for a country without a single native manager, would they just have to apply before a deadline? Would everyone be able to vote for any country's manager?

@ Roostophe...I was thinking that since only larger nations have NT manager elections this wouldn't be a problem. I figured that only managers in a given nation could vote in their NT elections, like it is now, but the candidate list could potentially include foreign candidates like yourself. Let me tell you that I would vote for you in a heartbeat if you could stand as a candidate in my nation's current election.

I voted no... this is why:

On the whole, it is a good principle and indeed realistic. However, certain criteria must be met... for example, the manager from a different country should be fluent in the positions native language. They should have some link to the country they are applying for to ensure none bias when facing their native country in competition etc.... this would make the criteria so tight to ensure fair management that things could only go wrong lol

Considering some apparently 'good' national candidates from their native country turn out to be living elsewhere or are unfair and dishonest (like the previous English U-21 manager), managing a proposal like this would be terrible... so i agree with admin on this
